Robert H. Hurt
Mr. Hurt's areas of specialty include national defense appropriations and policy, transportation appropriations and policy, and corporate counseling. Prior to establishing Hurt, Norton & Associates with Frank Norton, he had served for five years as Staff Director for U.S. Senator Sam Nunn. He has 24 years of combined experience as a professional staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, including service as an Associate Staff Member of the House Appropriations Committee. He began his work in DC as the Washington Correspondent for The Atlanta Constitution. He is an Army veteran with service as an infantry and intelligence officer with the Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 5th Special Forces Group in Vietnam. He holds a B.A. degree in History from Mercer University and a M.A. degree in Special Studies (Legislative Affairs) from The George Washington University.
